Pune News : PEHEL 2023 – E-Waste, Plastic Awareness and Collection Campaign on Feb 26
The Pune Municipal Corporation and social organizations are teaming up to launch PEHEL 2023, an e-waste and plastic awareness and collection campaign. The initiative is part of the annual Swachhta Week, celebrated in honor of Sant Gadge Baba Jayanti.
PEHEL 2023 aims to promote proper management of e-waste and plastic waste in Pune, with the goal of preserving the environment. Schools, colleges, commercial establishments, residential housing societies, public spaces, and corporate companies are encouraged to register as collection centers and participate in the initiative.
To register as a collection center, interested establishments can fill out a google form by visiting the link provided: https://lnkd.in/dsPjisny. The PEHEL 2023 campaign will take place on February 26th, 2023, during the Swachhta Week.
“The Pune Municipal Corporation and the social organizations of Pune have organized various activities every year for the Swachhta Week, which is celebrated on the occasion of Saint Gadge Baba Jayanti. One of these initiatives is PEHEL-2023 i.e. e-waste and plastic awareness and collection campaigns implemented at the city level,” said Rajesh Manerikar, Poornam EcoVision Foundation.
Asha Raut, deputy commissioner, solid waste management department, PMC appealed to all to participate in PEHEL 2023 and save the environment.
