Pune News : PMC demolishes unauthorized construction made by marriage lawns within green belt from Mhatre bridge to Rajaram bridge

The building construction and control department of the PMC has initiated measures on the DP road located within the green belt adjacent to the river, stretching from Mhatre Bridge to Rajaram Bridge. In response to the construction activities within the blue and red flood lines of the riverbed, the NGT court has intervened and mandated a report to be furnished by the 10th.

The necessary measures were implemented in relation to this matter. Various offices, lawns, hotels, and other establishments faced the consequences of these actions. As a result, certain property owners voluntarily vacated the premises. A total of approximately 150,000 square feet of unauthorised construction was demolished during this operation.

The removal of enchroachment was accomplished by utilising seven JCBs. Additionally, six dumpers were used to remove approximately 6,000 cubic feet of fill, which was subsequently transported to the Wagholi Plant. The operation involved  seven JCBs, four gas cutters, and three breakers, as well as 50 personnel and police personnel.

The task was successfully accomplished with the supervision of Superintending Engineer Yuvraj Deshmukh, Executive Engineer Bipin Shinde, Deputy Engineer Sunil Kadam, Deputy Engineer Shrikant Gaikwad, Junior Engineer Manoj Kumar Mate, Branch Engineer Rahul Rasale, Branch Engineer Bhavana Jadkar, Sameer Gadai, Ishwar Dhamale, and Junior Engineer Sagar Shinde.

Fifteen properties in total were subjected to raids, encompassing Srishti Garden, Krishnasundar Lawns, Narayani Lawns, Sri Vanarse, Majanta Lawns, Keshavbagh Pandit Farm, and several others. The owners and businesses of these properties took it upon themselves to dismantle unauthorised structures.
