Pune News: PMPML receives 37 complaints and 14 suggestions on Pravasi day

Pune: In a proactive approach to tackle the commuting issues faced by passengers daily, the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd (PMPML) has received 37 complaints along with 14 suggestions from travellers & commuters on Pravasi (traveller) day.

The Pravasi Day is observed in every bus stand on the second and fourth Friday of every month. It is the concept of Chairman and Managing Director of the PMPML, Sachindra Pratap Singh to eliminate the problems faced by commuters, to eliminate errors in bus services, to make it more passenger oriented and to provide valuable guidance to the passengers. 

On the occasion of Pravasi Day on July 14, the guardian officers were present in each depot under the guidance of Singh. A total of 37 complaints and 14 suggestions were received from the travellers through this activity. The complaints will now be sent to the concerned department for resolving the issue.

On July 15 Chairman & Managing Director of PMPML, Sachindra Pratap Singh traveled through Alandi – Hadapsar bus route.

He also inspected the bus service and on interacting with passengers present in the bus, he received complaints regarding the AC being non operational in e-buses at times. Taking action on the concerned matter, e-bus operators are strictly instructed to operate the buses without switching off AC during service and also not to send the buses on route if the AC is not in working condition.

Sachindra Pratap Singh also interacted with citizens at Mahatma Gandhi bus stand and after receiving their valuable feedback, grievances were solved immediately.

The main officer of each depot along with Singh also inspected all depots.
