Pune: In a recent operation conducted by the Foreign Nationals Registration Office (FRO) in Pune, a woman from a foreign country was arrested for violating visa rules. The FRO, under the guidance of their seniors, received confidential information about foreign nationals working on tourist visas within the limits of the Pune Police Commissionerate. Acting on this information, the Foreign Nationals Registration Office team visited a private massage parlor within the limits of the Airport Police Station on February 15.

Upon investigation, it was discovered that a woman from a foreign country had entered India on a tourist visa in 2022 and had been working in the massage parlor without a valid employment visa. The woman was taken into custody and placed under surveillance at the rescue home in Mundhwa. Her flight ticket was immediately reserved, and on February 26, she was taken to the Mumbai International Airport, where deportation proceedings were initiated against her. The woman was subsequently sent back to her native country.

The FRO has also proposed that the said woman be included in the black list, which would prevent her from entering India again.
