Pune News: Pune’s Kaveen wins gold medal at state grappling tournament

Pune: In an impressive display of grappling skills, Kaveen Siddheshwar from Indira College won a gold medal at the state-level selection matches for grappling in the 2022-23 season. Kaveen, who started practicing grappling just a year and a half ago, stunned his opponents with his strength, agility, and technique.

Kaveen’s remarkable performance in the matches caught the selectors’ attention, who have now selected him to represent his state at the national grappling match. Kaveen’s victory is a testament to his hard work and dedication, as well as the excellent coaching he has received at the UFFC Club in Pimple Saudagar under his coach Naresh Mhetre.

Kaveen, currently pursuing his studies at Indira College, expressed his excitement at being selected for the national grappling match. He thanked his coach and club for their support and guidance and vowed to do his best to bring home the gold medal for his state. Kaveen’s success inspires all aspiring wrestlers and grapplers and reminds them that anyone can achieve their dreams with hard work, dedication, and the right coaching. When talking with Naresh, Kaveen’s coach, he said, “Kaveen started his journey in grappling one and half years ago. He spent 2 to 3 hours practicing, and I am sure he will achieve more soon.”
