Pune News : Team Swachh Kalyani Nagar and Green Life Foundation holds book donation drive

In an effort to promote sustainable living and a greener environment, the Team Swachh Kalyani Nagar and Green Life Foundation has launched a book donation drive with the goal of encouraging reuse, recycle, and reduce. 

The initiative is aimed at collecting gently used books from the community and redistributing them to those who could need them.

The Team Swachh Kalyani Nagar is working in collaboration with the Pune Municipal Corporation to create a happier and healthier neighborhood. The book donation drive is part of their ongoing efforts to reduce waste and promote sustainable living in the community and to help orphanage kids.

The resource recycling center (RRC) located at the Ganapati Mandir Ground in Kalyani Nagar is the drop-off point for book donation. The center accepts fiction, non-fiction, educational, bestsellers, biographies, and other books that are in good condition language must be Marathi, Hindi, English.

The initiative also offers an opportunity to borrow or buy books from the RRC. This creates an accessible and affordable way to promote reading and learning in the community. All proceeds from the sales will go towards supporting the Swachh Kalyani Nagar team’s efforts towards a cleaner, greener and happier neighborhood.

” This initiative taken for help orphanage kids we are collecting recycled books to donate a 1000 books library to orphanage. We are accepting all categories of books. This drive will end in June to July, Till then books will be accepted”, said Somesh Prem, Greenlife Foundation NGO, Pune.
