Pune News : Restaurant bouncers attack teenager

19-year-old , a BBA student at MIT college, was allegedly assaulted by bouncers of a restaurant named Penthouze in Mundhwa and four other youths, leaving him with serious injuries to his face, said police on Monday.

The incident was reported on 2 April in which the victim Aryan Datta sustained serious injuries.

Recuperating at his residence in Varsha Park Society, Baner, Aryan recounted the harrowing experience, stating, “Another minute and they would have killed me. They even said that it was my last day.” Aryan’s father, Rohit Dutta, expressed shock over the incident and called for the police to press charges of attempted murder and kidnapping against the attackers.

According to Aryan, he and two friends were asked to leave the resto-bar on April 2 following a dispute with the bouncers. In the parking lot, the bouncers allegedly confronted them again and beat him up. Four other youths joined in and subjected Aryan to further violence, including an attempted stabbing with an iron bar. Aryan managed to escape and sought help from a rickshaw driver, but the attackers chased them in a car, intercepted the rickshaw, and threatened to kill him. Aryan eventually jumped out of the car and hid under a bridge until the attackers left.

A case has been registered against four accused individuals, with one arrest made and three others at large. Samir Karpe, police sub inspector, Mundhwa police station said ,”An investigation is underway, with efforts being made to locate the remaining accused individuals. Case has been registered under relevant sections and further investigation is going on.”
