Pune: In order to ease the increasing traffic near Bhugaon and Ghotavade areas, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MP Supriya Sule has demanded an integrated flyover covering both areas.

As per information from the Official Twitter handle of Supriya Sule, the national highway from Pune to Kolad runs from Bhugaon and Ghotavade Phata in Mulshi Taluka in Baramati Lok Sabha Constituency. There is no scope for widening the road as there is a temple and a village here. Due to this, there is a constant traffic jam which can be avoided by making a bypass road at Bhugaon. At the same time, at Ghotavade Phata, Rehe Khore, Mutha Khore, Dharan area (Paud) and vehicles coming from Pune are creating bottlenecks. It is possible to avoid traffic congestion by constructing a flyover here. Constant follow-ups are being taken from Union Minister of Roads and Highways Nitin Gadkari & his department for this.

Several Twitter users have shown support for this and have demanded solution to the increasing traffic congestion.

A Twitter user said, “Yes it’s very true. We have experienced traffic several times near Padmavati Gavdevi Temple. Due to houses, buildings & temple, the scope of road widening is very less. We hope, due to the follow-up & leadership, the problem will resolve at the earliest.”

Another Twitter user said, “It is necessary to do something to remove the problem on this road, there are many accidents on this road and many people have lost their lives due to accidents.”

Another Twitter user said “It is very necessary. People are suffering a lot due to daily traffic here.”
