Pune News : Tilted streetlight near Pride Icon in Kharadi poses danger to residents

A tilted electric pole near the Pride Icon society on the Bypass Road in Kharadi has raised concerns about the safety of pedestrians who use the road frequently. The pole, which is likely to collapse in heavy winds, poses a serious threat to locals of the area who travel on the road regularly.

Local authorities have been informed about the precarious situation of the electric pole, and they are expected to take swift action to prevent any potential mishap. The area has been cordoned off to prevent people from coming too close to the pole, and pedestrians have been advised to use alternative routes until the issue is resolved.

As of now, no injuries have been reported, and the authorities are taking all necessary measures to resolve the issue. However, with the safety of the pedestrians at stake, the authorities need to act fast to prevent any unfortunate incidents from occurring.

“A tilted electric pole near the Pride Icon society located on the bypass road in Kharadi can lead to collapse causing harm to pedestrians as well as motorists. PMC should take immediate action,” complained Ajay Mahindrakar, a resident of Kharadi area.

When Pune Pulse spoke to the MSEDCL official, Ashok Jadhav, Executive Engineer he informed that the PMC will soon be informed about the tilted pole.”  

” We have requested to resident of kharadi area to complaint this to their nearest municipal corporation further action will be taken by them” 

“The complaint has been forwaded to the concerned department for further action. Shortly, it shall be resolved,” said Somnath Bankar, Assistant Municipal Commissioner, PMC
