Young Man Dies by Suicide After Phone Argument with Wife in Pimpri
23-year-old from Chikhali consumed poison following a dispute; police say marital issues may have led to the tragic step.
A 23-year-old man from Chikhali in Pimpri died after allegedly consuming a poisonous substance following a phone argument with his wife, who is currently staying in Gujarat.
The deceased has been identified as Pratik Sandeep Ghanavate (23), a resident of Chikhali. According to police officials, Pratik had been facing frequent disagreements with his wife and was reportedly planning to travel to Gujarat to bring her back home.
Police said that after another argument on February 6, Pratik allegedly consumed poison. He was admitted to a hospital for treatment but succumbed on Tuesday night.
His mother informed the police that ongoing marital disputes may have pushed him to take the extreme step. However, officials said the exact reason behind the incident is still under investigation.
Police are conducting further inquiries into the matter.
