Pune: Nyati Elysia C3 Cronus Society honored for energy conservation initiative at Green Expo Award 

Nyati Elysia C3 Cronus, a housing society in Pune, was honored with the Green Expo Award for their outstanding efforts in energy conservation and adoption of environmentally friendly practices.The award ceremony, held at Chhatrapati Sambhaji Park on JM Road, was organized in collaboration with PMC, Rotary Green Society, and various sponsors on 28th May, 2024.

The society’s Chairman, Jayesh Maduskar, expressed gratitude to all residents, committee members, and staff for their contributions towards creating a greener environment.

He highlighted the society’s innovative measures, including the installation of a Solar Plant, which has resulted in a remarkable 45% reduction in electricity bills while promoting the use of renewable energy sources.
Additionally, the society has implemented sensor-based lights throughout its 32-storeyed building to decrease electricity consumption during non-peak hours, contributing significantly to energy conservation efforts.

Speaking about the initiative, Maduskar explained, “Our journey began with the aim of reducing electricity costs for common areas and transitioning towards green energy. We initially installed motion sensor lights, saving around 10-15% of energy every month. Building on this success, we expanded to solar energy by installing TATA solar panels on our rooftop area through a vendor in Pune.”

The Society Manager, Sunil Kamble, was present at the award ceremony, emphasizing the importance of sustainable solutions in today’s world.
