Pune Passport Seva Kendra To Hold Special Passport Drive On June 6 For Normal And Tatkaal Applicants

Pune, June 2, 2026: The Regional Passport Office (RPO), Pune, has announced a special passport drive for applicants seeking passports under both the Normal and Tatkaal categories.
The special drive will be conducted on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK), Pune, located at Mont Claire Building on the Baner-Pashan Link Road in Pashan. Appointments will be available for both fresh passport applications and re-issue cases under the Normal and Tatkaal schemes. The centre will operate from 9 am to 5 pm, and applicants have been advised to report at least 15 minutes before their scheduled appointment time.
According to the RPO, applicants under the Normal category must ensure they possess all required documents as prescribed under the Passport Rules. Incomplete or incorrect documentation may result in the application not being accepted.
Officials have also cautioned Tatkaal applicants to carefully review eligibility conditions and documentation requirements before booking appointments. The Tatkaal scheme has stricter eligibility criteria, and several categories of applicants are not eligible to apply under this fast-track service.
To participate in the special drive, applicants must first submit their passport application through the Passport India website or the mPassport Seva app, complete the online payment, and then schedule an appointment by selecting PSK Pune and the date of June 6, 2026.
The RPO has advised applicants to verify the authenticity of their supporting documents through DigiLocker and mAadhaar before visiting the centre. It has also warned citizens against relying on agents or middlemen who claim to offer faster appointments or expedited passport services, stating that no such intermediaries are authorized by the government.
Among those not eligible for the Tatkaal scheme are applicants with lost or stolen passports, those seeking changes in date or place of birth, individuals involved in certain criminal cases, applicants with adverse police reports, and several other special categories specified by the passport authorities.
