Pune: PMC Chief Reviews Smart Collection Point Project At Bhavani Peth
Pune, September 1, 2025: As part of the ongoing “Clean Pune, Beautiful Pune” campaign, Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) Commissioner Naval Kishore Ram inspected the Burudi Pool area in Bhavani Peth on Saturday.
The visit focused on reviewing the transformation of a traditional feeder point into a modern Smart Collection Point for waste management.
The Bhavani Peth locality, known for daily waste generated by hundreds of households, shops, and small businesses, will soon have an upgraded system for efficient garbage collection and transportation, according to PMC officials.
Commissioner Ram encouraged residents to actively participate in maintaining hygiene, emphasising the message, “Our Area, Our Responsibility.” He also praised the efforts of sanitation workers and health teams for ensuring cleaner streets and marketplaces.
During the inspection, local citizens, traders, and municipal staff took a pledge to uphold cleanliness and support PMC’s initiative to create a greener, healthier city.
