Pune : PMC initiates action against Hotel Fountain and Bamboo House in Shivaji Nagar, removes encroachment.

Pune : The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has initiated a campaign to tackle the issue of unauthorised hotels operating within the city as well as removing the encroachments. 

PMC officials targeted two such establishments, namely Hotel Fountain and Bamboo House, located in the Shivaji Nagar area.

As per the information provided, approximately 5,200 square feet of space previously occupied by these unauthorized hotels has been reclaimed. PMC officials utilised specialised equipment, including a gas cutter, to ensure strict adherence to municipal regulations.

The operation was carried out by a team of key personnel, consisting of Executive Engineer Bipin Shinde, Deputy Engineer Sunil Kadam, and Branch Engineers Rahul Rasale and Sameer Gadai. Their combined efforts, along with the support of the local police force, played a pivotal role in the successful execution of this operation.

While talking to Pune Pulse, Sunil Kadam, Deputy Engineer, added, ”Action has been taken against the hotel as they occupied extra space. Earlier, notices were sent to hotels, but no response was given. Hence, action was taken against the establishments by razing the encroachment.”
