Pune, July 9, 2025: The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has taken significant steps to enhance infrastructure in the Pirangut industrial area with the approval of three major road development projects. These projects are aimed at improving connectivity between industrial and residential zones, thereby accelerating local development and easing traffic flow.
As part of this initiative, land acquisition processes have been initiated for all three roads. Once completed, these projects are expected to provide seamless transportation in the rapidly growing Pirangut belt and support both industrial operations and community movement.
The approved road projects include:
- Urawade to Hinjawadi Phase 3 Road: Stretching 7.10 km with a width of 45 meters, this road is estimated to cost ₹14.50 crore. It will link the Pirangut industrial area directly to the bustling IT hub of Hinjawadi, significantly reducing travel time.
- Nande to Lavale Road: This 3.93 km road, also 45 meters wide, has an estimated budget of ₹8 crore. It is expected to enhance regional access and support residential growth in Lavale.
- Nande to Maan New Road: The shortest of the three, this 1.50 km stretch will be 30 meters wide and cost ₹15 crore. It will serve as a vital connector for local traffic and upcoming development projects.
PMRDA officials stated that these strategic infrastructure upgrades reflect the authority’s commitment to sustainable urban and industrial development in the Pune region.
