Pune: Prajeet Nair Assumes Charge As Additional Municipal Commissioner Of PMC
Pune, April 7, 2026: Senior IAS officer Prajeet Nair officially assumed charge as the Additional Municipal Commissioner (Estate) of the Pune Municipal Corporation on Friday. His appointment marks a significant administrative development for the city’s civic body.
Nair, a 2017-batch Indian Administrative Service officer, has held several key positions in Maharashtra prior to this role. His experience includes serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the Sindhudurg Zilla Parishad and Sub-Divisional Officer in Jawhar, Palghar district.
He has also worked as the District Collector of Gondia, where he was involved in various administrative and developmental initiatives. His diverse experience across districts is expected to contribute to his new responsibilities in Pune.
Speaking on the occasion, Nair emphasized his commitment to Pune’s growth and development. He stated that new plans and initiatives would be implemented with a focus on strengthening urban infrastructure and estate management.
