“Pune : Residents in Viman Nagar , Lohgaon and Yerwada may face Power Outage Tomorrow , Kharadi Substation Maintenance Work Underway”

Pune: Mahapareshan or MSETCL (Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited) Kharadi 132 KV ultra high voltage substation will remain closed from 10 am to 3 pm on Saturday i.e. December 23 for essential pre-scheduled maintenance and repairs. However, as alternative arrangements have been made during this period, so there will be no impact on the power supply in the Nagar Road area.

As per information, from Mahapareshan’s Kharadi 132 KV High Voltage Substation through Mahavitaran’s five 22 KV power lines, power supply is given to areas like Khulewadi, Viman Nagar area, Sopannagar, Kolte Patil Phase 1 to 4, Yerwada, Shastri Nagar, Lakshminagar, Sanjay Park, Alandi Road, Sambhajinagar, Nyati, Lohgaon, Vadgaon Shinde, Vadgaon Gavthan, Patilmala, Khandve Nagar, Kharadi Bypass, Vadgaon Sheri area, Dhanori area, Shree Park Society, Shreeram Society, Khulewadi Village, Giga Space Building etc. However, the repair of some systems in the sub-center of Mahapareshan has become very necessary for smooth power supply.

Therefore, the repair work of the system will be done on Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm. During this period, 34 megawatts of electricity will be managed by load management from Mahavitaran and Mahapareshan, and all the five power lines will be supplied with electricity in an alternative form.

Technical planning for an alternative power supply has been completed by Mahavitaran. However, if one of the five power lines fails at any time, an alternative facility will not be available. This may cause power outages in the area on the concerned channel. Information regarding the same will be given immediately to the concerned electricity consumers through SMS. Mahavitaran and Mahapareshan have appealed to the electricity consumers to cooperate during this period.
