Pune, February 14, 2024 : With the aim of promoting road safety awareness and reducing the increasing number of road accidents in the city, Pune Platform for Collaborative Response (PPCR) and Team Swach Kalyani Nagar (TSKN) joined hands with Pune City Traffic Police Department to organize a unique event at Marisoft Ab Corp, Kalyani Nagar Corporate office, Pune.

The event began with a brief introduction by PSI Shri. Ramchandra Raghatwan, who highlighted the significance of Road Safety Week and the importance of following traffic rules. He also shared some startling statistics on the rising number of road accidents in the city, which underscored the need for increased awareness and caution on the part of drivers and pedestrians alike.

Devidas Patil, presented a comprehensive analysis of road accidents in Pune, shedding light on the various factors that contribute to these mishaps. His presentation included data on the most common causes of accidents, such as speeding, reckless driving, and poor visibility, as well as demographic information on the age groups and areas most affected by road accidents.

PSI Aashish Jadhav, who has extensive experience in handling traffic cases, shared his personal experiences with traffic accidents and emphasized the importance of responsible driving habits. He stressed the need for drivers to remain alert and focused on the road at all times, as well as the crucial role played by pedestrians in preventing accidents by following basic safety guidelines.

Aniket, a representative of PPCR, extended a warm vote of thanks to all participants and reiterated the organization’s commitment to promoting road safety awareness in collaboration with the traffic police department. He urged everyone to join hands in the fight against reckless driving and to work towards creating a safer and more responsible community.
