On April 27, 2018, the government issued an order setting the maximum fare rate, which must not exceed 50 percent of the fare rate. However, there have been complaints about private passenger buses charging arbitrary fares from passengers, particularly during festive and peak seasons.

In light of this, strict action will be taken against private travel and buses that charge more than the government-fixed fare rate per passenger.

Private bus owners and drivers are required to adhere to the ticket prices stipulated by the rules.
