Pune RTO witnesses rise in new vehicle registration during Pre-Dussehra period

Pune: The Pune Regional Transport Office (RTO) has seen an increase in the new registrations of petrol or diesel run as well as electric vehicles in the pre-Dussehra period (October 15 to 23).

As per further information & data shared by Sanjeev Bhor, Deputy Commissioner, RTO Pune, while the new registration of fuel (petrol and diesel) vehicles has increased this year, new registrations of E-vehicles have decreased a bit compared to last year.

Following are the details of the new registrations of vehicles for the pre-Dussehra period of 2022 & 2023:

Earlier in October 2023, the number of electric vehicles crossed the mark of 59,000 in the city. Among electric vehicles, the number of two-wheelers was the largest followed by four-wheelers. Along with them, e-buses, and e-rickshaws were also being bought well in Pune city.
