Pune : Seven Vehicles Parked In Parking Area of Vision Society in Wakad Caught Fire : No Injuries Reported

Pune: In a shocking incident, seven vehicles were caught fire during the late hours on June 28 in Wakad’s Vision Society located at Bhumkar Chowk, Pune.
Speaking to Pune Pulse, Vivek Mugalikar, Senior Police Inspector, Hinjewadi Police Station, said “We got a complaint at around 12 am from Vision Society in Wakad regarding vehicles burning in the society. As soon as our team reached the spot, there were 7 vehicles which were burnt out of which 1 was an auto rickshaw & 6 others were cars. As the society doesn’t have CCTV cameras, currently it has become a difficult to check the culprit or the cause of the fire. We are investigating the matter further.”
As per information from Vivek Mugalikar, said that due to the lightning of cigarettes or some other flammable thing near the vehicles, the fire got out of control and fell on a vehicle. The other vehicles also caught fire as it was parked nearby.
The Hinjewadi Police has assured citizens of Vision Society and adjoining areas to stay calm and cooperate with the police investigation.
