Pune: Shree Woods Society In Dhanori Commissions 90 kW Solar Power Project
Pune, April 6, 2026: In a significant step towards sustainable energy, Shree Woods Co-operative Housing Society in Dhanori has successfully commissioned a 90-kilowatt solar electricity project. The initiative was officially inaugurated on April 4, 2026, by Corporator Ravi Tingre in the presence of society members, residents, and the managing committee.
The project was led by Chairman Vaibhav Abdeo, with key support from Secretary Nitin Patidar, Property Manager Ranasingh Rajput, Committee Member Vinod Bansode, and Resident Member Jayendra Wadhonkar. The installation includes approximately 165 lightweight solar panels mounted on the society’s rooftop.
According to the management, Shree Woods has become the first and only housing society in the Dhanori area to implement a solar project of this scale. The initiative is also considered a major milestone achieved during the current committee’s tenure.
With a capacity of 90 kW, the project places Shree Woods among the select residential societies in Pune to adopt large-scale solar energy solutions. Residents are expected to benefit from reduced electricity costs and a lower carbon footprint.
The project reflects a growing trend of housing societies in Pune embracing renewable energy to promote environmental sustainability and energy efficiency.
