Pune traffic branch issues No Parking orders for various places to ease traffic congestion

In Pune, the city traffic branch has made new rules to make sure traffic moves safely. The complaints raised by the commuters at certain places where chronic congestion is reported have been noted by the Pune traffic police and certain changes in the parking arrangements have been changed. Below are some of the changes which motorists must note while driving on the road and parking their vehicles too to avoid any inconvenience.

As per order issued :

  • In the Bharti Vidyapeeth area: You can’t park within 400 meters on both sides of the road that goes from Over Bridge to Dari Bridge, near BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir on Mumbai Bangalore National Highway 48.
  • In the Chatuhshringi area: No parking within 10 meters on both sides of the road near Vastu Sundar Sahakari Griha Rachana entrance. Also No parking around 10 meters near Enclave Building Phase 2 gate on both right and left side.
  • In the Warje area: No parking for any vehicles within 100 meters between Krishna Plaza and Basaveshwar Tea House, including areas near MSEDCL transformer station and Kelkar Upahargruh.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police, explained that these rules won’t affect vehicles like fire trucks, police cars, or ambulances. These rules are meant to make traffic better and reduce congestion in important parts of the city.
