Pune : Traffic changes announced in Bund Garden & Koregaon Park; Check details

The Pune Traffic Police has issued changes in traffic on experimental basis in Bund Garden & Koregaon Park from 24^th February due to Sadhu Vaswani Bridge re-construction.

As per further information from Pune Traffic Police, as the current Sadhu Vaswani bridge has become weak & unsafe for traffic, the said bridge will be demolished and constructed anew by the Pune Municipal Corporation. There is a possibility of traffic congestion in the boundaries of Koregaon Park, Bund Garden traffic department until the Sadhu Vaswani bridge is demolished and rebuilt.

Hence, the following changes are being made on trial basis from 24/2/2024 till further orders to keep the traffic in the said areas smooth:

·         Parnkuti Chowk to Blue Diamond Chowk to Moboj Chowk route will be one-way.

·         Moboj Chowk to Mahatma Gandhi Udyan Chowk (Bundgarden Road) will be one-way.

·         Alankar Chowk to IB Chowk to Circuit House Chowk to Mor Odha Chowk is being made one way.

·         Mor Odha Chowk to Council Hall Chowk will be made one-way.

·         a 24 hours ban will be there on all above-mentioned routes for all types of heavy, bulky, multi-axle vehicles etc (excluding essential service vehicles).

·         The route from Kahun Road Junction to Tarapur Road Junction will remain a one-way route as before.

·         Council Hall Chowk to Sadhu Vaswani Putala Road is being made one way.

Alternate Routes

·         Vehicles going from Nagar Road to Mor Odha Chowk will go through Parnkuti Chowk, Mahatma Gandhi Chowk, Blue Diamond Chowk, turn right to Mangaldas Road to Moboj Chowk, turn left in front of Mangaldas Chowk and again left to IB (Residency Club) Chowk, turn left to Mor Odha via Circuit House Chowk.

·         Vehicles going to Mor Odha Chowk, Koregaon Park will go through Mor Odha Chowk, straight to Council Hall Chowk, turn right to Mangaldas Chowk, turn right to Bund Garden Road to Mahatma Gandhi Udyan Chowk, turn right to Koregaon Park

·         Vehicles going from Pune Station to Koregaon Park will go through:

1) Pune Station, Alankar Chowk, turn left to Jahangir Chowk, turn right to Mangaldas Chowk

2) Pune Station Alankar Chowk straight to IB Chowk, turn left to Mangaldas Chowk, turn right to Bund Garden Road to Mahatma Gandhi Udyan Chowk, turn right to Koregaon Park

·         Vehicles going from Pune Station to Ghorpadi will proceed directly from Pune Station to Alankar Chowk via Circuit House Chowk via Mor Odha Chowk.

·         All buses coming from Ghorpadi and Bhairoba Nala Chowk (including PMPML) will proceed straight through Mor Odha Chowk and take a left turn at Kahur Road Junction to Tarapur Road Junction and take a right turn at Tarapur Road and take a right turn from Blue Line Chowk to Council Hall Chowk.

·         The one-way road from IB (Residency Club) Junction to Mor Odha Chowk will be temporarily made two-way as and when required.

·         Traffic from Blue Diamond Chowk to South Main Road, Koregaon Park will remain as usual.
