Pune: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) will commence the construction of the stormwater line between PMPML station and Bhide Bridge in the Deccan Gymkhana. In order to ensure smooth traffic flow in the area, necessary changes will be implemented in the traffic arrangements for the next two months. If deemed necessary, the traffic from Bhide Bridge to Deccan Gymkhana via Kelkar Road will be temporarily closed. 

As per the information received, the construction work for the monsoon channel between PMPML station and Bhide Bridge in Deccan Gymkhana will commence on Monday, October 16. The work is expected to continue until December 15.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Vijay Kumar Magar, has stated that if required, the traffic from Bhide Bridge to Deccan Gymkhana via Kelkar Road will be closed. Magar has urged motorists who are heading towards Deccan Gymkhana via Kelkar Road to consider using alternative routes. 

Motorists travelling from Kelkar Road to Jangli Maharaj Road and intending to reach Narayan Peth via Kelkar Road from Jangli Maharaj Road are advised to utilize Gadgil Bridge (Z Bridge). Drivers should proceed to their desired destination by taking Jangli Maharaj Road through Bhide Bridge, Sukanta Hotel, and Khau Gali.
