Pune : University Road multi-level flyover project to be completed by August 2024, informs MLA Siddharth Shirole

Pune: Member of Legislative Assembly of Shivaji Nagar constituency Siddharth Shirole convened a review meeting with Rahul Ranjan Mahiwal, Commissioner, Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA), and other officials of PMRDA to address the ongoing challenges on Pune University Road, particularly in light of recent developments.
During the meeting, it was reported that he gave the deadline to complete the University Road Multi-level Flyover project by August 2024, and other authorities agreed to adhere to the specified timeline.
Furthermore, it was disclosed that he raised several concerns, including feedback received from citizens via social media. These concerns included ensuring the prompt clearance of debris, waste, and poorly aligned barricades to maintain a clear traffic route.
Additionally, he emphasized the need for stricter vigilance and monitoring against wrong-way driving and unauthorized use of gaps between barricades, particularly during late hours. He also stressed the importance of promptly repairing potholes and removing unnecessary speed breakers to facilitate smoother traffic flow.
Finally, he proposed the installation of visual information displays to inform the public about project timelines and current progress. In conclusion, he pledged to strike a balance between achieving swift project completion and minimizing inconvenience to both residents and daily commuters.
