PUNE: Throughout the day, the entire district, including the city, experienced cloudy weather, which was conducive to rain. There were isolated instances of light to very light rain.

As per the information provided, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning of moderate rain in the city and heavy rainfall in the ghats on Sunday. 

The low-pressure area, which is expected to bring monsoon, extends from Jaisalmer, Kota, the center of the low-pressure area, Jamshedpur, Digha to the northeast Bay of Bengal.

It is active from southwest Rajasthan to north Odisha. Cyclonic winds are blowing at an altitude of 5.8 to 7.6 km above sea level in the north Andaman Sea. 

A significant low-pressure area formed over the Bay of Bengal is moving westwards after making landfall. 

The system was active over east Madhya Pradesh and adjacent areas on Saturday.

Cyclonic winds continue to rise to an altitude of 7.6 km above sea level adjacent to it. 

The system is expected to move towards Gujarat and Rajasthan in the next two days. 

Regarding the climate of the state, there was cloudy weather with light to heavy rainfall in some places in the state in the 24 hours ending Saturday morning.

An orange alert has been issued for Thane and Palghar districts of the North Konkan region on Sunday. 

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected to occur at isolated places over Nandurbar, Nashik, Pune, and Satara districts, along with the rest of Konkan. 

The Meteorological Department has predicted light rain with lightning in the rest of the state.
