Pune Weather Update : Pune may experience rain on September 7 and 8 ; Orange Alert For Pune

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Pune has predicted that the monsoon is likely to be strong in Maharashtra for the upcoming days.

Dr Anupam Kashyapi, Head, Weather Forecasting Division, IMD Pune, conveyed the information on his X handle, ‘Significant increase in rain activity likely from tomorrow onwards & rain most likely to remain at peak on 7 & 8 September. Chances of Orange alert will come. Rain is likely to be in Pune. Farmers must be ready to take its fullest advantage.’

As per further information from IMD, the following are the weather predictions for Pune & surrounding areas from September 5 to 11:

·         September 5 – Skies will remain partly cloudy in the afternoon/evening. Chances of lightning & thunderstorms & very light to light rain.

·          September 6 – Skies will remain mostly cloudy in the afternoon/evening. Chances of light to moderate rain. Possibility of heavy rain at isolated places in the Ghat section.

·         September 7 – Skies will remain cloudy. Chances of moderate to heavy rain. Possibility of heavy rain at isolated places in the Ghat section.

·         September 8 – Skies will remain cloudy. Chances of moderate to heavy rain. Possibility of heavy rain at isolated places in the Ghat section.

·          September 9 – Skies are likely to remain mostly cloudy. Chances of mild to moderate rain.

·         September 10 – Skies are likely to remain mostly cloudy. Chances of light to moderate rain.

·         September 11 – Skies are likely to remain partly cloudy & mostly cloudy in the afternoon/evening. Chances of light rain.
