Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has successfully retained the Wayanad constituency, winning by a margin of 3.64 lakh votes. In this election, Gandhi faced off against BJP’s Kerala state president K Surendran in Wayanad and BJP’s Dinesh Pratap Singh in Raebareli.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Gandhi initially claimed victory in Wayanad with 706,367 votes. Running from the same seat again, he managed to replicate his success.

Gandhi also contested from Raebareli, Congress’ stronghold in Uttar Pradesh, a seat historically secured by his mother, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, from 2004 until 2019. Sonia Gandhi retained Raebareli in 2019 by a margin of over 1.5 lakh votes against BJP’s Dinesh Pratap Singh.

Rahul Gandhi emerged victorious in the Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency with 6,47,445 votes, while CPI candidate Annie Raja trailed behind with 283,023 votes.
