Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw has embraced the viral sensation of the “looking like a wow” trend by incorporating a Vande Bharat Express twist.

This trend, which was initially popularized by Jasmeen Kaur, a boutique owner from Delhi, involves showcasing outfits through livestreams and videos. While displaying one of her creations, Kaur exclaimed, “so beautiful, so elegant, just looking like a wow”.

This trend quickly gained momentum and has now permeated social media, captivating the attention of countless individuals. Vaishnaw contributed to this trend by sharing a split image featuring two Vande Bharat Express trains and simply captioning it, “Just looking like a WoW!”

In April, Kerala welcomed its first Vande Bharat Express, previously known as Train 18, which has gained recognition for its contemporary design, high speed, and passenger convenience. These semi-high-speed trains have significantly reduced travel durations on important routes. The train traverses through 11 districts including Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Pathanamthitta, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasaragod. Subsequently, the second Vande Bharat Express for the state was inaugurated in September.

Just last month, Vaishnaw revealed new concept images of the sleeper version of the Vande Bharat Express, which is expected to become a reality by early 2024. This addition to the Indian Railways fleet aims to provide passengers with a quicker means of traveling long distances overnight.

The Vande Bharat Express sleeper trains have been designed to reach a maximum speed of 160 km per hour and will consist of 16 roomy bogies that can accommodate up to 887 passengers. The coaches will offer a range of amenities, such as wider berths, brighter interiors, spacious restrooms, a compact pantry, and advanced safety features.

These trains are expected to be more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly. The sleeper coaches will feature a classic wooden design, along with comfortable seating arrangements, ambient floor lighting, and improved top lights, as seen in the photos shared on X by Vaishnaw.
