Rao clarified that the photo was doctored and did not accurately represent him. He suggested it may have been altered as a prank, emphasizing that it was not an authentic depiction of his appearance. However, he acknowledged receiving fillers approximately eight to nine years ago, attributing this decision to early career criticism about his looks. The fillers were administered to achieve facial balance and enhance his appearance, based on recommendations from his dermatologist.

The actor expressed empathy towards individuals considering similar cosmetic treatments to boost self-confidence, asserting that there is no stigma attached to such choices. 

Meanwhile, Rao is set to grace the silver screen with an array of exciting projects. He will star in “Srikanth,” slated for release on May 10, 2024, followed by “Mr and Mrs Mahi” alongside Janhvi Kapoor, scheduled for May 31, 2024. Additionally, he will feature in “Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video” alongside Triptii Dimri, set to premiere on October 11, 2024.
