Restrictions to be tightened if positivity rate in Pune rises to 7 % ; Ajit Pawar
In the review weekly meeting held at the Pune Council Hall, deputy Chief minister and Pune district guardian minister Ajit Pawar announced that shops in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation can remain open till 8 PM on all days.
Pawar also took a review of the oxygen supply to the hospitals and informed that Pune district shall be independent in managing oxygen supply. It is mandatory that all establishments follow Covid19 health protocols. He also mentioned that if the positivity rate reaches 7 percent, restrictions to be tightened. Wearing masks is compulsory and maintaining social distancing is important too.
Hotels, bars, food courts can remain open till 10 pm on all days, while shops can remain till 8 PM. People who have taken both the doses are allowed to enter the malls. Every 15 days RTPCR test is mandatory of the hotel staff.
Positivity rate in Pune
Restrictions have been relaxed in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad but 13 talukas in Pune are in Level 3 and restrictions shall continue in these villages from Monday. Positivity rate in Pune is 3.3 percent, Pimpri Chinchwad is 3.5 but in rural areas it is 5.5 percent. If the positivity shows downward trend, restrictions in these rural areas shall also be relaxed.
Pune district has 19 oxygen plants ready and functioning, 34 more plants are proposed.
The weekly review meeting held at Pune’s Council Hall saw presence of Neelam Gorhe, minister for state home affairs Dilip Walse Patil, Dattatray Bharne, Nirmala Pansare, Ashok Pawar, Vandana Chavan, MP Rajya Sabha, Pune Mayor Murlidhar Mohol and PCMC Mayor Usha Dhore, District Collector Rajesh Deshmukh, PMC Commissioner Vikram Kumar and PCMC Commissioner Rajesh Patil and several others.
