Sawai Gandharva Bhimsen Mahotsav : District Collector allows use of loudspeakers till midnight on Dec 16

Pune: Pune District Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh has granted permission to use loudspeakers and sound amplifiers from 6 a.m. to midnight on December 16, for the 69th Sawai Gandharva Bhimsen Mahotsav. This event is scheduled to take place from December 13 to 17 in Pune.

As per the information provided, the Pune District Collector has identified 15 days this year during which there will be an exemption between 6 am to midnight on the use of loudspeakers in the district. 

Thus, December 16 will be utilized as a day wherein the use of loudspeakers will be permitted from 6 am to 12 midnight as per the request of the Arya Sangeet Prasarak Board.

It is important to adhere to the prescribed sound limit. Additionally, specific locations should be designated for the placement of special wooden materials that absorb sound. It is crucial to note that the exemption is limited to certain zones and does not apply to peace zones, as stated in the order.
