An important news has come to the fore for the people of Pune. Section 144 has been implemented in Pune city for strict implementation of laws, rules and court orders. Section 144 will remain in force in the city till March 31.

Pune Police Administration has come on alert mode. Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar has informed that after the implementation of Section 144 in the city, strict action will be taken against the illegal unauthorized pubs, terrace hotels and illegal businesses running illegally on the terraces of the buildings in the city. In this regard, a meeting has been held between the hotel owner and the driver at the police commissioner’s office.

Pune Police Administration has issued revised instructions as per Section 144 of CrPC to ensure strict compliance of city laws and court orders. According to the order of the administration, Section 144 will be applicable in the city till 31 March 2024.

Meanwhile, Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar had held a press conference a few days ago and said that strict action will be taken if bars and pubs are open after half past midnight. Accordingly, orders have been issued under Section 144 to Bar, Pubs, Restaurant owners and drivers in Pune.

All hookah parlours in Pune city are being closed. Police will take strict action against consumption and sale of hookah in pubs, restaurants. A few days ago, the Pune police had seized drugs worth Rs 4 crore. After this incident there was excitement in the city. Police are currently investigating the matter.
