Shocking: 19-Year-Old Police Aspirant Ends Life After Alleged Humiliation at Training Academy 

Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar: . In a tragic incident involving the suicide of a 19-year-old girl, Leena Patil, who was preparing for police recruitment at Garudzep Academy in Bajaj Nagar. Leena hanged herself in the hostel bathroom, and the incident was discovered on Tuesday morning.Police have registered a case against five people including the director of Garudzep Academy

Leena’s father has filed a complaint at MIDC Walaj Police Station, alleging that his daughter faced humiliation and abuse from the academy’s director, Nilesh Sonwane. The complaint mentions that Leena, who dreamt of a government job, had paid a total of 1 lakh 20 thousand rupees in three stages for her training. Additionally, she paid 4500 per month for mess services.

According to the complaint, Leena faced insults and abusive behavior from Nilesh Sonwane, who allegedly humiliated her by commenting on her skin color, saying, ‘You are black.’ The complaint further states that Leena would call her father to inform him about breakfast not being provided if the mess payment was delayed. Sonwane’s insulting behavior reportedly extended to other girls as well.

The complaint indicates that Leena had expressed concerns about being deceived by Nilesh Sonwane, to which he responded dismissively, challenging her to take her own life if she believed her accusations. The father claims that Leena ultimately took this drastic step due to the humiliation and insults she endured.

In response to this tragic incident, a case has been registered against five individuals, including the director of Garud Zep Career Academy, Nilesh Sonwane. The case includes allegations of abetment to suicide and mistreatment. The police are expected to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.
