Shocking !! Female tourist dies after falling into 300 feet deep valley while taking selfie in Mahabaleshwar

PUNE: A tragic incident occurred wherein a woman lost her life after falling into a valley while attempting to take a selfie on Tuesday afternoon in Mahabaleshwar.

The deceased has been identified as Ankita Sunil Shiraskar, a 23-year-old woman from Pune who visited Mahabaleshwar with her husband. They were exploring the Kates Point area, specifically Needle Hole Point, when the unfortunate accident took place.

As per the information received, Ankita lost her balance while taking the selfie and fell into a valley that was approximately two to three hundred feet deep.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the Mahabaleshwar and Sahyadri trekkers’ teams promptly arrived at the scene to initiate rescue operations. Later, a body was found in the valley.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Panchgani police added, ”Team was immediately dispatched to the scene after the incident was reported. Later, the body was found deep in the valley, and further processing and investigation will be carried out.”
