Shocking !!! Stray dog that bit 29 people in Chennai tests positive for rabies

Officials announced on Friday that samples taken from a stray dog, which had tragically been beaten to death after biting 29 individuals in Chennai, tested positive for rabies.  

As per reports, the individuals who were bitten by a dog in the Royapuram region have been recommended that they should take anti-rabies vaccinations as soon as possible. 

On Tuesday, several residents were attacked by a dog. The enraged locals threw stones at the dog and eventually put it down.

After this occurrence, the corporation authorities apprehended an additional 31 stray dogs from the vicinity, and have commenced the procedure of administering anti – rabies vaccinations to them. Concurrently, targeted operations to capture stray dogs and provide them with anti-rabies vaccinations are also being carried out throughout the city.

According to the corporation’s representatives, a grand total of 1,242 canines were apprehended within this month, while 1,007 surgeries for animal birth control were successfully carried out.
