Tesla’s most affordable car could be launched in India after Germany

Pune:  The most affordable model produced by billionaire Elon Musk’s electric car company, Tesla, will go on sale in Germany. It is a two-door vehicle. The same electric vehicle is reportedly going to be introduced in India as well, according to sources.

As per information, Tesla, owned by Elon Musk, has not yet publicly announced its plans to enter the Indian market, but it plans to start importing some of its models in 2024. Tesla hasn’t yet disclosed the model’s name or any other information, though.

The first model to be offered in the nation will be the Model Y Crossover, according to the report.

Built by Tesla in 2020, the Model Y is a battery-electric mid-size crossover SUV that is based on the Model 3 sedan’s architecture. In comparison to the mid-sized Tesla Model X, the Model Y is anticipated to be more affordable and come with the option of third-row seats, which would increase the vehicle’s seating capacity to seven people.

Tesla opened its first factory in Europe in Brandenburg, Germany, with an investment of €5 billion. The Model Y crossover is produced at this US-based EV manufacturer; production will eventually reach a million units annually. In the medium run, the business plans to introduce the €25,000 car from this location.
