SILVER JUBILEE REUNION: 97 batch of BMCC to reunite on December 17
The batch of 1997 (B. Com) will be celebrating the silver jubilee of their graduation at their Alma Mater – Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce on Saturday, December 17th. The batch members are very excited to meet their former classmates as they have not had a single reunion event for the last 25 years. So a few former students thought of taking the initiative of bringing the batch together within the premises of their college. And what better occasion to do this than the Silver Jubilee.
BMCC has had a glorious legacy and has the rare distinction of churning out luminaries in different fields. This includes Mr. Sharad Pawar, Mr. Girish Bapat, Dr. Cyrus Poonawalla, Mr. Ravi Pandit, Mr. Prasad Oak, Mr. Dnyaneshwar Agashe, to name a few.In 2005, BMCC was ranked third in top ten commerce colleges surveyed by India Today magazine. BMCC also holds the distinction of being Pune’s first autonomous college of commerce.
The Alumni of the 1997 batch also have kept up to this glorious tradition by rising to prestigious ranks and positions in various spheres right from Business, Consulting, Chartered Accountancy, Film Production, Sports and Corporate.The Silver Jubilee Reunion to be held on Saturday, 17-Dec-2022 will see almost 200 batchmates converging from various parts of not only India but the world to meet each other and relive golden memories of their times spent in the college. So much so that, the Current College Management has also extended their whole hearted support to the 1997 Batch Reunion Organising Committee for conducting this event within the premises. Through this Silver Jubilee Celebration, the Organising Committee also intends to pay their gratitude to their Alma Mater. The program will have host performances by the batchmates, for the batchmates and is sure to be a spectacle to watch!
