A leader forged at the grassroots and strengthened by administrative experience, Snehal Ganpat Dagade emerges as a powerful and credible face ready to represent Ward No. 41 – Mohammadwadi – Undri. Known for her decisive leadership and deep connect with people, Dagade brings with her a legacy of development-driven governance that began in Pisoli village and continues to shape her public journey even after the area’s merger into the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) in 2017.

Born on May 17, 1981, Snehal Dagade is a postgraduate in Economics (M.A.), a qualification that has translated into systematic planning, financial understanding and effective execution of development works. She has remained rooted in local realities, ensuring that policy decisions reflect on-ground needs. Snehal’s husband Ganpat Dagade passed away four years ago.

Her most defining contribution came during her tenure as Sarpanch of Pisoli Gram Panchayat from 2012 to 2016. This phase is widely remembered as the period when the foundation of Pisoli’s development was laid. She focused on improving basic infrastructure, strengthening administrative discipline and encouraging community participation. Her leadership style combined sensitivity with firmness, ensuring that governance reached the last household. From 2016 to 2021, she continued to serve as a Gram Panchayat Member, providing continuity and stability during a crucial transition phase.

Recognising her leadership abilities, Dagade was appointed as a Nominated Corporator in the Pune Municipal Corporation in 2022. This role exposed her to urban civic governance, policy formulation and coordination with municipal departments, further sharpening her administrative skills. Having witnessed Pisoli’s transformation from a village to a PMC area, she understands the challenges of rapid urbanisation, infrastructure gaps and service delivery—making her uniquely equipped to represent Mohammadwadi and Undri.

Within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Snehal Dagade has built a strong organisational presence. She has been serving as District President, Pune Rural Mahila Morcha since 2020, actively promoting women’s leadership and empowerment. Earlier, she held the post of Vice President, BJP Pune South from 2017 to 2020, strengthening the party at the grassroots.

With experience spanning rural governance and urban administration, Snehal Dagade stands as a tested, accessible and people-centric leader. As she prepares to contest from Ward 41 Mohammadwadi – Undri, she represents continuity, accountability and a clear vision for inclusive development—making her a candidate whom citizens can confidently support.
