Son duped father pension Rs 18 lakh in Honey Trap case

Beware if you received some calls about Gives you a sexual service provider membership. It will allow you to have sex with many women. Under such luring manner that one will get money from them, cyber thieves duped a young man tune to  Rs 18.37 lakh.

The incidents came to light after the 44-year-old resident of Suncity Road lodged a complaint at Sinhagad Road Police Station. The incident has took place  between March 29 and April 5, this year.

According to police, “complainant lives in one of the posh society on Suncity Road. He has been working for a health insurance company in Mumbai for six months. His father recently retired. On the evening of March 29, he received a phone call from a woman named Rina. She told him that Honey Date offers. She shared the details of sexual service provider membership. Sent photos of some young women to their mobile numbers. The young man fell to pray of their luring tacktic.”

He added,” The con person then called them from different mobiles. Under the pretext of updating the profile, the young man was forced to deposit money in different bank accounts, citing different reasons. When he realized that he was being cheated, he refused to pay further. Later they threaten the complainant that they had some objectionable communication recording. They threatened to sue him and demanded money from him. He then paid a total of Rs  18,37,600 from his father’s pension. However, their demands and threats continued, they finally approached us.”
