Soon, book bus tickets & track live locations on PMPML mobile app

Pune: The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd (PMPML) will soon launch a mobile app for passengers who will be able to book tickets on the PMPML mobile app. Additionally, passengers will also be able to track the live location of the bus through the PMPML app.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Satish Gate, PRO, PMPML, said “The mobile app is in the development stage. No official information is out yet about the launching date. Also, Payment Gateway approval is yet to be done from the bank. However, the Payment Gateway finalization & the entire work of the app will be completed soon after which we will announce the launching date.”

As per the information a proposal has been given to the Central Bank of India for a payment gateway. Once the proposal is approved & the app begins to function, passengers will be able to book tickets online.

On October 1, 2023, the PMPML inaugurated its cashless QR code service –

Therefore, the passengers now have a ‘QR code’.

Once the ‘Payment Gateway’ proposal is approved by the Central Bank of India & the app gets launched, passengers will be able to purchase tickets through the app.

Apart from this, other facilities on the app can also be availed through the app. It is worthy to note that passengers were demanding to book tickets online from a mobile app. The move will help passengers manage their time effectively.
