Special Campaign for Sukanya Samrudhhi Yojana to be held on Feb 9 and 10 in Pune Post offices
As a continuation of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, a two-day special campaign for opening Sukanya Samruddhi accounts will be conducted on February 9 and 10, 2023.
How to open account in Sukanya Samruddhi Yojana ?
Sukanya Samriddhi Accounts will be opened in Pune head post office and all Sub post offices in Pune city East division.
Accounts can be opened by parents for maximum up to two daughters below the age of 10.

An attractive interest rate of 7.6% is being offered for the quarter from January 2023 to March 2023.
The account can be opened with a minimum amount of Rs 250, after submitting the account opening form, birth certificate of the daughter, photo copies of Aadhar and PAN card of one of the parents.
A maximum amount of Rs 1.5 lakh can be invested in a financial year and the amount invested is also exempted from income tax under section 80C.
The senior superintendent of Post Office, Pune city East Division has appealed to all the parents to open Sukanya Samriddhi account for their girl child below 10 years of age.
