In a troubling turn of events, a 63-year-old woman from Datli village in Nashik’s Sinnar taluka lost her life to swine flu during treatment. The Nashik Municipal Corporation’s (NMC) medical department has confirmed that two other patients in Nashik City are currently in stable condition.

The sudden surge in swine flu cases has set off alarms among authorities. Swabs sent to the National Institute of Virology, Pune, have verified the diagnosis for these patients. Dr Tanaji Chavan, the Medical Superintendent of the Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC), has confirmed the presence of two swine flu cases within the city limits and the unfortunate demise of a patient from Sinnar.

As authorities ramp up monitoring efforts and implement necessary precautions, residents are urged to stay vigilant and strictly adhere to health guidelines to stem the spread of the virus.
