Tamannaah Bhatia Soaks in Divine Fervour, Dances in Ecstasy at Isha Foundation’s Grand Mahashivratri Celebrations
The sacred night of Mahashivratri turned into a mesmerizing blend of devotion and celebration as actor and entrepreneur Tamannaah Bhatia immersed herself in spiritual bliss at the Isha Foundation. Surrounded by thousands of devotees at the Foundation’s headquarters in Coimbatore, the actress was seen joyfully participating in the grand festivities, making the night even more special with her heartfelt presence.
Continuing what has now become an annual tradition, Tamannaah attended the Mahashivratri celebrations organized by spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev. Social media platforms were soon flooded with glimpses from the event, but one particular video quickly captured everyone’s attention — Tamannaah dancing with uninhibited devotion near the iconic Adiyogi statue.
Dressed in elegant white traditional attire, the actress appeared completely absorbed in the spiritual atmosphere. Her expressions radiated joy and surrender as she danced among fellow devotees during the night-long celebrations. She was also seen in the company of young actor Sara Arjun and actress Srinidhi Shetty, who joined in the sacred festivities.
Mahashivratri, one of India’s most revered festivals, commemorates the divine union of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Observed with immense devotion across the country, the festival signifies the celestial wedding of the Shiva-Shakti duo — a symbol of love, strength, balance, and cosmic harmony. According to Hindu mythology, on the night of their wedding, Lord Shiva’s procession to Goddess Parvati’s home was accompanied by an extraordinary entourage of gods, goddesses, animals, and even demons.
Devotees mark the occasion by observing fasts, offering prayers, chanting mantras, and participating in night-long vigils and poojas to seek Lord Shiva’s blessings. Traditionally known as the “Great Night of Shiva,” it is believed that spiritual energies are at their peak during this time, and the planetary alignments create an ideal atmosphere for inner transformation and spiritual growth. Many devotees stay awake throughout the night in meditation and celebration, honouring Mahakaal with unwavering faith.
