‘The Bangles’ Musical Group of Women Shines on Independence Day at Suyog Nisarg Society in Wagholi
In a harmonious display of togetherness and empowerment, the women of Suyog Nisarg co-operative housing society have come together to form a musical band, aptly named ‘The Bangles’. This collective initiative, comprising 30+ talented females from various age groups and walks of life, is all set to redefine the spirit of womanhood through their harmonious melodies. Under the expert guidance of their dedicated coach, Vishal Vijay Wadaye, an accomplished artist and musician, ‘The Bangles’ have been honing their musical skills through regular mentoring sessions. The name of the band, ‘The Bangles’, itself is a celebration of femininity and symbolizes the strength and resilience that women across generations embody.
The grand debut of ‘The Bangles’ took place on the occasion of Independence Day, where they enchanted the audience with their soul-stirring performances. Group’s event kickstarted with the recital of a poem (details below) and a timeless classic, ‘दिल है छोटा सा छोटी सी आशा’ (Dil Hai Chhota Sa Chhoti Si Aasha), a song that beautifully encapsulates themes of women’s strength, determination, aspirations, self-appreciation, and love for oneself. This poignant message was followed by a patriotic rendition of ‘हर करम अपना करेंगे, ऐ वतन तेरे लिए’ (Har Karam Apna Karenge, Aye Watan Tere Liye), which brought forth the group’s deep-rooted connection to their homeland.
A significant aspect of ‘The Bangles’ is the diversity within its members, which includes working professionals, students, and homemakers. Mr. Vishal Wadaye who orchestrated and performed in the group’s performance; is a resident of Suyog Nisarg and noteworthy famous Artist, a singer and a musician as well. He finds inspiration in life and nature to convey nostalgia, beauty and spirituality. Over the years, he has participated in numerous exhibitions, received various awards, conducted workshops, and his paintings are held in collections worldwide through public and private collections, and notable personalities.
