Mumbai Police has successfully identified and located an MBA holder responsible for issuing threats to the esteemed industrialist and former Tata Sons chairman, Ratan Tata. The authorities revealed that during the course of their investigation, it was discovered that the anonymous caller is afflicted with schizophrenia.

According to an official from the Mumbai Police, the caller had contacted the police, urging them to enhance Ratan Tata’s security. The caller issued a warning that if adequate security measures were not taken, Ratan Tata could face a fate similar to that of former Tata Sons chairman Cyrus Mistry, who tragically died in a car crash on September 4, 2022.

Prompted by the seriousness of the threat, the Mumbai Police immediately activated a special team to ensure the personal security of Ratan Tata. Simultaneously, another team was assigned to gather information about the unidentified caller.

Utilizing technical support and collaborating with a telecom service provider, the police successfully traced the location of the caller to Karnataka. Further investigation revealed that the individual was a resident of Pune.

Upon reaching the caller’s residence in Pune, the police discovered that he had been missing for the past five days. The caller’s wife had filed a complaint at the Bhosari police station in the city regarding his disappearance.

Subsequent questioning of the caller’s family members unveiled that he suffers from schizophrenia. It was revealed that he had taken the phone used to make the threatening call from someone’s house without informing them. The caller had contacted the Mumbai Police control room to issue the threats against Ratan Tata.

Considering the caller’s mental health condition and the challenges posed by schizophrenia, the police decided not to pursue legal action against him. It was disclosed that the caller, despite battling schizophrenia, holds an MBA in finance and has a background in engineering.
