Traders body in Pune protests against COVID curbs; to keep open shops till 7 pm

Federation of Trade Association in Pune held a protest today on August 3 at various locations in Pune against the Covid19 curbs. The protest saw huge support from traders from Laxmi road, Kumthekar road, Fergusson college road, Ganesh Peth, Bohri Ali, Karve road, Sinhagad road, Timber market, Shivaji road who protested against the Covid19 curbs. Even after the Covid cases are declining Pune city still has many curbs which is hampering our businesses. The traders informed that it is high time that the restrictions are relaxed on other businesses also.

Mahendra Pitaliya, secretary, Federation of Trade Association in Pune told Pune Pulse that today’s was the first step of their protest against the curbs. He said, “From tomorrow onwards we will keep our shops open till 7 PM everyday. We want the government to revise the restrictions and give us relief”.
