A college girl has died after falling from a rocky cliff into a valley about 150 to 200 meters deep at Lion’s Point, a tourist attraction near Lonavala. This incident took place on Wednesday at 6 pm. The emergency team of Shivdurg Mitra in Lonavala has succeeded in removing the body of the said young woman in just one hour.

Sakshi Ramesh Hore, the college girl who fell to her death in the valley, was studying in DY Patil College, Akurdi in second year of engineering. Sakshi’s relative Vikas Kisan Hore has filed a complaint in the Lonavala Rural Police Station.

Sakshi was studying in the second year of engineering at DY Patil College, Akurdi. On Wednesday, she had come to Lonavala for some reason. In the evening, she went for a walk at Lion’s Point, a tourist attraction near Lonavala. At 6 pm, she fell from a rocky cliff into a valley. Her bag and shoes were found on the side of the cliff at that place.

On getting information about the incident, Assistant Police Inspectors Kishore Shewte, Vijay Gale, Sachin Shelar and Sitaram Bokad rushed to the spot and inspected the incident. Based on the information found in the bag, the Lonavala Rural Police contacted her relatives and informed them about the incident. Also, the emergency team of Shivdurg Mitra in Lonavala was called to search for the said young woman.
