With the upcoming long weekend, many travellers are taking advantage of the last day of the holiday on Thursday (28th September) to create mini vacations from Thursday to Monday (2nd October). The long weekend comes just before the end of the festival of Eid-E-Milad, the last day of which will be celebrated on October 2, the same day as Gandhi Jayanti.

As per further information, there has been a 25% jump in bookings compared to last week’s long weekend. Places to visit during this time include Goa and Varanasi, and Jaipur, as well as Thailand and Dubai.

In addition, a return flight to Dubai is available at a reasonable price, some options are priced below Rs 30,000, while the air fares from Phuket to Dubai are much cheaper than those from Bangkok. The low fares have encouraged people to travel to Dubai without spending a lot of money. Air fares to Goa are going up, which has prompted people from Pune and Nashik to take road trips instead of flying. Car rental and self drive bookings have also gone up.

The most sought-after destinations for the upcoming weekend include Goa, Jaipur, Varanasi, Pune, Coorg, Dubai, Singapore and Maldives. The majority of travellers anticipate a family vacation of four to five days.
